La Marche de l’espoir, the biggest solidarity event in French-speaking Switzerland
For over 30 years, Terre des Hommes Suisse has organized the Marche de l’espoir, the biggest solidarity event of its kind in Switzerland involving children.
Every year, the Walk takes place on the Quai du Mont-Blanc in Geneva on a Sunday in October. On this day, some 12,000 people, including 4,000 children and young people, march in support of children’s rights.
The kilometers walked by the children are sponsored by the sponsors who have agreed to support them in advance. The money raised by the walkers on this day is entirely dedicated to the children’s rights projects of Terre des Hommes Switzerland.
Each year, a Terre des Hommes Switzerland country is highlighted. The funds raised during this day are dedicated to this country.
