Our actions in Haiti

In a Haitian environment constantly tested by gang violence and natural disasters, our mission is to improve the protection and education of children. We strive to promote their school integration and to inculcate an education based on sustainable development. Our goal is to ensure free and quality education for the most vulnerable children, while valuing their potential to guarantee a dignified future. In addition, we ensure that mechanisms are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of these children in crisis situations.

Free education for disadvantaged or out-of-school children

The work of our partners allows children in precarious situations to have access to free, quality education. Some projects include reinforced learning to keep children in school and avoid dropping out.

School integration and education for sustainable development

A network made up of 9 schools has been created in the south-east area which is often affected by natural disasters, particularly cyclones. The main lines of work are school integration, the environment and sustainable development.

Provide quality education

The protection and participation of children is at the heart of the teaching of several schools in Haiti. In addition to the traditional curriculum, a series of actions to protect and prevent the risk of disasters (cyclones, earthquakes) and insecurity are carried out with many children.

Risk management and learning first aid gestures

In certain high-risk areas, our partner strives not only to manage immediate risks, but also to prepare schools and families to anticipate natural disasters. Efforts focus on education on how to behave in the event of earthquakes or floods, as well as on preventive measures such as reforestation. In addition, provisions are made to ensure post-disaster resilience, in particular through food stocks and community shelters in schools.
