Terre des Hommes Suisse is an independent non-profit organisation with neither political nor religious affiliation. The code of ethics of Terre des Hommes Suisse is based upon values of commitment, sustainability and beneficiaries’ empowerment.
The goals of Terre des Hommes Suisse
• Improve the living conditions of underprivileged populations in Southern countries, especially children and women. The development programmes and cooperation projects we support are carried out by our local partners.
• Raise awareness among young people in Switzerland concerning North-South disparities and encourage their commitment to solidarity.
Two sections for one movement
Terre des Hommes Suisse is composed of two sections, one in Geneva and the other one in Basel. The French-speaking section works with salaried staff members and volunteers; voluntary work plays a significant role in the functioning of the organization.
